dear Fellow Researchers;
Recently i received a copy of a probate for a Sarah robinson allot. No. 636 Santee sioux the probate report is dated June 31, 1913
she is alleged to have been the spouse of 91)Cetanwicakte and the mother of Lot,Esaias,mary Victoria and alfred frazier, (2)wife of Wapate , and (3)Tatehiyadan.
I am rather puzzled by this, as I was called 3 years ago by a Frazier Descendant and told that Cetanwicakte was the husband of sophia Frazier aka Cana. the caller gave the same above information,and added that this Sophia Frazier married Wapate at Fort Snelling. I was also told that her probate is dated 1913 also.

the Frazier Family tree that I was given, several years ago, shows Sophia married to Cetanwicakte. it was poduced by the Dakota Association. Howeer, it lacks documentation .
Sophia Frazier does not appear on any of the Santee Censues prior to 1890, which adds to the puzzlement. The only data I can find on her so far, is that she is buried in the Congregational Cemetery ,Santee,Knox,Ne and that her head stone has the death date as May 19 1888. All this tells me is that she did exist, but whether she was the wife of Cetanwickte is debatable without some documentation.
The other bit of puzzlement is that the Frazier Family Tree shows a Julia Frazier Campbell as a daughter of maggie(w/ o John Frazier). The book "Completing The Circle" says that Maggie and her children with John frazier-daughter Mary,charles and Starr Frazier- were left behind when John Frazier put her aside , legally married his other wife Jennie and took her and their children to Minnesota.
